- Someday Lesson: Nobody is so important that they can’t disconnect from the world for a brief period.
A year ago today I relaunched Someday Syndrome, turning it from a recounting of my personal journey into a Someday Busting resource for the whole world.
And so, to celebrate my one year anniversary, I’m going to take a vacation.
Yes, that’s right, as of today I’m going silent until August 20th – 11 days without a single blog post.
We’re going down to the Canary Islands with friends for a week plus spending a few days in Madrid afterward. I had been planning to do prescheduled posts and make my final few days before going really stressful by working twice as hard to prepare for the holiday.
Then I decided that the world would survive without an update from Someday Syndrome for 11 whole days and I could approach my vacation with a more relaxed attitude.
Yes, building up my business is important, but it’s not the only thing in my life.
One of the things I teach in the Vacation Clinic is that we are not so important that we can’t disappear for a bit without the world coming to an end. And what better way of teaching people than by example?
So, enjoy the next 11 days and I’ll see you on the 20th with the next installment in the Lab Rat Series.
